Alma and the Map of Time

Join Alma on an adventure through time

Illustrations by Max Meinzold

Alma is on her way to her grandma’s house when a woman called Mrs Newton sits down next to her on the train. The strangest thing about her is not the countless watches and alarm clocks she is wearing, but the fact that she claims Alma can travel through time. And not only that: she says Alma needs to protect the map of time to make sure that time isn’t thrown out of joint. Alma doesn’t believe a word of it. But then the woman is kidnapped right in front of her eyes, and Alma is plunged into an adventure that takes her to the launch of the lunar rocket, the Wright brothers’ first flight and the opening of the Eiffel Tower. And she has to be careful, because renegade time travellers are hot on her heels and want to steal the map for themselves!

A fast-paced and atmospheric time travel adventure, brilliantly written by Akram El-Bahay
