No Fibbing at the Zoo!

Everyone knows that’s not true!

Illustrations by Günther Jakobs

What’s wrong with the zookeeper today? For some reason he just won’t stop fibbing – he’s saying zebras have round spots. Everyone knows that’s not true! Zebras aren’t spotty, they’re… yes, stripy, that’s right! Together with Hugo Hedgehog, put the zookeeper’s fibs right and say whether elephants are actually teeny-tiny, whether octopuses really use their arms to swing from tree to tree and whether polar bears get pink fur from eating too much strawberry ice cream. And at the end of the book, you and Hugo get to turn the tables: hedgehogs have very soft fur, don’t they?… Well, no: but the zookeeper still loves his prickly little helper!

Gives little ones the chance to show off what they know – and adults are allowed to guess too!

Allows children to correct fibs in a playful way and learn about opposites
