What’s taking so long? Shona Shellheart can’t wait for her pastel-coloured scales to turn glittery. She’s nearly six, and all the other children at the underwater kindergarten already have their glittery scales. She’s the only one without them. “It doesn’t matter,” says Shona’s friend Bo. “I like you just as you are!” Together with Bo and his seahorse Amaranth, Shona goes on wonderful adventures. They plan a treasure hunt around the old shipwreck for Shona’s birthday, and Shona has her first sleepover at Bo’s. It’s enough to make her (almost) forget about her glittery scales!
