At his new school Tom wants to belong to the cool crowd at last, and hopes to win the talent contest with his band! But then, mid- rehearsal, Tom is struck by lightning and suddenly a voice whispers to him that he is now Thor, god of thunder. Yeah, right! But when he wakes up with a load of hammers in his bed, grows a beard overnight, and starts shooting out lightning bolts every time he gives someone a high five, Tom actually begins to believe the story.
