How We Talk about Israel and Palestine

This book is about a German Jew with Israeli roots and a German-Palestinian woman who have found a way to talk to one another. Since 2023 Jouanna Hassoun and Shai Hoffmann have been traveling together from school to school to promote their “Trialog” project. Their goal is to speak about the war, the current escalation in Israel and Palestine, and its impact on Muslim and Jewish life in Germany. Their roundtable discussions create a space that allows for questions and views that many people don’t have the courage to ask or express. In doing so, they provide proof that it is indeed possible to talk to one another, and they motivate readers to join in the dialogue themselves.
